Choose the e-bike that is right for you

Class 1-3 E-Bikes

Eligible E bikes, Red e-bike

E-bikes must meet the following criteria to qualify:

✔️ Must be a Class 1-3 e-bike.

  • Class 1: Limited to a top speed of 20 mph, pedal assist only.
  • Class 2: Limited to a top speed of 20 mph, pedal assist and throttle assist. 
  • Class 3: Limited to a top speed of 28 mph, pedal assist only.

✔️ Must have an electric motor of less than or equal to 750 watts.

✔️ Must have operable pedals.

✔️ Must have integrated front light that runs off of the e-bike battery.

✔️ Must have rear light equipped – can be integrated or battery operated.

✔️ Must have been tested by an accredited testing laboratory for compliance with ANSI/CAN/UL-2849 or EN-15194.

✔️ Minimum 1 year warranty on all electrical components.

✔️ Must be delivered fully assembled.

Note: Full suspension e-bikes are eligible as long as they follow all conditions above.

Cargo E-Bikes

Eligible E bikes, black front-load cargo e-bike

Cargo e-bikes allow riders to pick up groceries, make deliveries, transport children or perform other errands throughout town.

Cargo e-bikes must meet the following criteria to qualify:

✔️ Must have an electric motor of less than or equal to 750 watts.

✔️ Designed to carry at least one additional passenger OR designed to carry heavier or bulkier loads that standard e-bikes.

✔️ Must have operable pedals.

✔️ Must have integrated front light that runs off of the e-bike battery.

✔️ Must have rear light equipped – can be integrated or battery operated.

✔️ Must have been tested by an accredited testing laboratory for compliance with ANSI/CAN/UL-2849 or EN-15194.

✔️ Minimum 1 year warranty on all electrical components.

✔️ Must be delivered fully assembled.

Note: Both front or rear loading cargo bikes may be eligible as long as they follow conditions above.

Adaptive E-Bikes

Eligible E bikes, white electric trike

Adaptive electric bikes come in a variety of designs, depending on the specific needs of a rider.

Examples are:

  • Adult electric trikes
  • Tandems
  • Handcycles
  • Recumbents
  • Wheelchair tandems and carriers

✔️ Must have an electric motor of less than or equal to 750 watts.

✔️ Must have operable hand or foot pedals.

✔️ Must have integrated front light that runs off of the e-bike battery.

✔️ Must have rear light equipped – can be integrated or battery operated.

✔️ Must have been tested by an accredited testing laboratory for compliance with ANSI/CAN/UL-2849 or EN-15194.

✔️ Minimum 1 year warranty on all electrical components.

✔️ Must be delivered fully assembled.

Note: Purchasing an adaptive e-bike may take longer to determine eligibility.

Which types of e-bikes are not eligible?

❌ Used e-bikes
❌ E-bike conversion kits
❌ Bikes modified with e-bike conversion kits
❌ E-bikes outside of the 3 class system
❌ E-bikes without integrated lights
❌ Scooters and Mopeds

How much are the incentive vouchers worth?

  • $1,750 – Base incentive voucher
  • +$250 – Additional for priority applicants
  • $2,000 – Maximum total amount

This list is current as of the date provided and represents e-bike models carried by approved retailers that meet the e-bike eligibility criteria. This list is subject to change and will be updated here as needed.

All eligible accessories and related costs must be included in a single transaction with eligible e-bike purchase. Limited to ONE accessory per type. Additional purchases and costs over the voucher amount must be paid for out-of-pocket by the consumer.

  • Helmet
  • Racks

  • Fenders
  • Mirrors (set)
  • Rear light (if not equipped)
